Well, today is what you wanna be day.  Im planning on going to broadcasting school after High School.  Although i was told today by a person i had respect for that i should quit and that it wasn't worth me failing at completely everything.  Although that got me down a little, i'm still sure that that is what i want to do and be involved with.  I am not doing as well in school right now as i would like but i'm really trying to change that nomater who notices my efforts.  I would like to settle down in California and work over the radio.  It makes no difference to me what sort of information i relay over the waves or if i become famous doing it.  That is just the job I think i would be happy with doing.

If you know this is your passion in life, you should take every stride to achieve this. Obviously, like you said, school is one place to start. If you know you want to be in radio, you should begin listening to as many different genres of radio stations to develop a feel for what's out there. That makes you a hire-able person. You should probably also listen to some AM, as that's probably where you'll start your career.

Even when speaking, you should work to develop a clear radio voice. Again, the more fluid your speaking, the better your chances at being hired.
